This video shows some of the most basic things about PI (also known as Planetary Interaction, planet management, and Colony Management)

I will cover how to launch things into space in another video. Hell is around every turn. It's your choice to go in it or not. Please check out the Rookies in EVE video playlist. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLioOFeHwQV5yNk2vpz8wX9hihLVQEIKLt |

Still too long, no structure and too much deviation from the point.
First 8 minutes gone there wasn't even a mention on how to even START Planetary Interaction. You warble on about some totally irrelevant stuff about making money while you sleep and then markets and oh my god just please stop making videos.
Make a PLAN for your video, REHEARSE what you are going to say, REVIEW the video before you render and, god forbid, publish, EDIT the video so it actually looks polished.
I hope you take something on board from my last round of constructive criticism because I won't be back.
Also one more thing: you have a lot more impact if you actually DO what you're talking about at the same time, not just lecture for 15 minutes before you even undock.
I'm going to do you justice by watching the entire thing but really you either need to make a 180 in how you make these videos or just stop wasting your time on this.
As I'm watching this video, you have a black screen with background music and no commentary from about 14mins to 18mins, this whole thing just reeks of amateur, unpolished and terrible video making. Can you honestly tell me that you're proud of what you made?
I fixed the black screen the best I could with YouTube. Thanks for pointing that out.
And besides that black screen. I am proud of what I made. But I do hope I can get the TRH company to a point where I can hire professional video makers to make guides. (At which point you might see me stop making videos) Hell is around every turn. It's your choice to go in it or not. Tsukino Stareine wrote:I must ask you: what's the purpose behind making these videos? You're clearly not up to date with a lot of game mechanics and sometimes you just plain get things wrong (You're also terrible at pvp, but that's just a personal gripe with your video style, it has no real impact on the quality of the guide).
If this has all been some elaborate troll I firstly, salute you because you got me hook line and sinker and secondly, I must question your mental health.
Did you watch other video guides before attempting to make your own? You're not the first one to do this so people expect the quality to be at the VERY least on par to what is already available. You didn't deliver and after 17 videos I can barely see any improvement from the first.
Create something good and you will get praise for it, don't blame it on "trolls" when people dislike your videos because they dislike them for a reason: they're crap.
My overall reason for doing the guides is to help people. As I said when I started this thing. I wanted to help new players, and people who are looking up the game.
I may not have the "flare", and I may seem a little bored (which I won't deny). But I try.
Anyways, I do pay attention to what everyone says. Most people just have a problem with my mic or the lack of emotion I give. Some people even said I sounded like I was super bored. I've tried everything with my mic and audio software. So the only thing that is left on that is to say the problem is me or I need a $200 mic. But as far as the emotion thing. That's just how I am. In fact, I've been told a few times I make a great scout. (If a scout doesn't show emotion then the FC doesn't freak out. The scout should only show emotion when something is really wrong)
BTW your not a troll. There were only 2 or 3 trolls that was being stupid. Ace was one of them. (S/he was going in a few of my post and saying what was wrong with a different post. Like the last one she was mad about guide 10. Not guide 16. So instead of going to guide 10. S/he trolled a good guide.) Hell is around every turn. It's your choice to go in it or not. Seraph Essael wrote:Okay. Firstly I would like to point out that I am a newbie to EvE (just over 2 months) and I am trying to look for a way to get passive income, so I am considering PI as an option.
Now onto the more important part. I don't know what your other videos are like, but this hasn't helped me understand anything at all. It's completely baffling due to the fact you know (by the looks of things) about as much as I do in regards to the topic. I can barely hear you (not due to microphone issues as you say) but due to mumbling and the sheer amount of boredom in your voice.
This is not a good way to help newbies like myself to get into the topic.
This was a very basic PI video guide. (I said it toward the start)
What questions do you have about PI? If I can't answer them, then I might be able to point you to someone who can. Hell is around every turn. It's your choice to go in it or not. Klymer wrote:Come on people, help the guy out with what he's trying to do and volunteer. Seriously, go back and look at some of the first videos he posted, he really needs the help. I hope that doesn't come off as a personal attack or anything and I'm not trying to derail the the thread. This is about helping people after all, and he needs help. OP please look into taking a public speaking course at a local college
Thanks for pointing out that volunteer stuff.
Anyways, I've already taken some speaking courses. It was required of me to get my degree. (I received an A) On top of that, I've spent over 9 years in speech therapy. (I am able to take in a lot of information, and I'm excellent in math and sciences. But I didn't start talking until I was about 5.)
However, I will keep your advice in mind. I will study some methods teachers use while they talk. Hell is around every turn. It's your choice to go in it or not. Please check out the Rookies in EVE video playlist. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLioOFeHwQV5yNk2vpz8wX9hihLVQEIKLt |
